Homemade Salsa – Better Than Store-Bought
A cooked-but-served-cold salsa that’s fresh, flavorful and naturally delicious — without the added sugar, preservatives, or artificial flavors of store-bought versions.
Just real ingredients, real taste, and all the magic of Les Savoureux seasonings.
Ingredients (makes about 2 cups)
• 1 can Italian tomatoes (with juices)
• 1 bell pepper, diced
• ½ large yellow onion, finely chopped
• 1 tsp Les Savoureux Roasted Garlic
• 2 tbsp Les Savoureux Roasted Onion
• 2 tbsp Les Savoureux Guacamole Blend
• 2 tbsp vinegar
• A bit of oil for cooking
Preparation Steps:
1. Sauté the vegetables
Heat a drizzle of oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the onion and bell pepper. Cook 5–7 minutes until softened.
2. Add the tomatoes
Pour in the canned Italian tomatoes (with their juices).
Lightly crush them with a spoon to reach your desired texture.
3. Season the salsa
Add Roasted Garlic, Roasted Onion, and Guacamole Blend.
Stir well to combine and distribute the flavors.
4. Add the acidity
Pour in the vinegar and mix again.
5. Simmer gently
Bring to a light simmer, then reduce heat to low.
Cook 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the salsa thickens and the flavors deepen.
6. Cool completely
Remove from heat and let cool fully.
This salsa tastes even BETTER cold, after resting.
💡 Les Savoureux Tip:
This homemade salsa keeps 4–5 days in the fridge and gets tastier each day.
Perfect with nachos, tacos, burrito bowls, eggs, chicken, fish… or straight from the spoon — we don’t judge! 😍
For spice lovers, add a few drops of our Piri-Piri, Sriracha Grillades, or Louisiana Cajun hot sauces. A bold kick that takes it to the next level! 🔥
