BEEF WITH BROCCOLI
Beef with broccoli is so good!
But I must admit that I had never cooked it đ± yes I know it's strange!
I had already eaten in "Asian" style restaurants but never cooked this little marvel. Sweet Jesus, what was I waiting for???
It's so simple!
I always have frozen broccoli in the freezer, so this makes the recipe even easier :-)
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 lb beef (sirloin, rib eye, strip loin, tenderloin, etc.) cut into strips1 cup beef broth
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
1 1/2 tsp. tablespoon of our THAI blend
Broccoli cut into blanched florets
1 C. xanthan gum (or cornstarch)
1 C. tablespoons of a sweetener of your choice (I don't use any, I much prefer a salty version)
PREPARATION
In a skillet, add a drizzle of olive oil and grill the beef strips for about 2 minutes on each side. Season well with salt and pepper.
Remove the strips from the pan to make the sauce. Add the garlic to the pan and cook for a few minutes. Add the broth, soy sauce, our Thai mix and cook for about two minutes. Using a whisk, add the xanthan gum (or cornstarch that has been added to a little water) and whisk until nicely thick.
Add the strips to the sauce, as well as the broccoli that have been blanched beforehand.
Toss gently to coat the beef and broccoli with the savory sauce.
Garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds.
You can invite me whenever you want hahahahaha!
Enjoy :-)
