Greek Chicken Meatballs
My new obsession :-)
From now on, I will always have some groud chiken at home.
Our Greek spice blend is necessary for this recipe, it's a game changer.
INGREDIENTS
Meatballs
1 lb ground chicken (makes about 11 meatballs)
1 1/2 tbsp of our GREC Les Savoureux spice blend
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
The zest of a lemon
Salt and pepper
Fresh mint to taste
Fresh parsley to taste
Sauce
Check out this recipe for homemade Tzatziki:
The sauce is mandatory, it's what makes the recipe even tastier!
Bowl garnish (optional)
1/2 cup rice or quinoa
Feta cheese
Fresh herbs
7 small tomatoes
Cucumber
Green onions
PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 350.
In a mixing bowl, add all the meatball ingredients and mix well.
Form 11-12 meatballs, each about the size of a golf ball.
Set aside.
In a frying pan, add a drizzle of olive oil and grill the meatballs for about 2 minutes on each side.
Once the meatballs are nicely colored, place the pan in the oven for about 15 minutes.
You can also continue cooking the meatballs on the stove.
Cook basmati rice (as directed on package) or cauliflower rice.
Assemble the bowl.
Add the Tzatziki generously!
Place 4 to 6 meatballs per bowl.
Garnish with feta and fresh herbs.
PRO TIP: Since ground chicken is quite sticky, put oil in your hands to make it easier to form the meatballs.
YIELD
2 bowls
Dip each bite into the Tzatziki and enjoy!
Enjoy your food !
