🥩 Beef Tataki – Les Savoureux Style
A perfect dish for special occasions — elegant, simple, and easy to prep ahead of time.
Just plate it when your guests arrive, and enjoy the “wows” at the table 😍
🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4 to 6):
-
1 striploin steak (about 1 to 1.5 inches thick)
-
Les Savoureux spice blends of your choice
(we used Cajun, Grand-Mère [formerly Sausage Spice], and Smoked Salt) -
Tomato and apricot chutney
-
Arugula
-
A drizzle of olive oil
-
A knob of butter
-
Parmesan shavings
-
BBQ-seasoned freeze-dried zucchini
-
White balsamic glaze
👨🍳 Preparation:
Season the steak
In a small bowl, mix about 1 tsp of each spice blend.
Generously rub the seasoning all over the steak.
(Pro tip: there’s no wrong choice with Les Savoureux blends 🤗)
Sear the meat
Heat a skillet with a drizzle of olive oil and a knob of butter.
Once the butter stops sizzling, the pan is ready.
Sear the steak for 1 minute on each side, just until nicely browned.
Let it rest + slice
Let the steak rest for about 30 minutes.
Then slice it into thin pieces.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
🥗 Time to plate:
-
Place a bed of arugula on each plate
-
Add the sliced beef
-
Dot with tomato-apricot chutney
-
Sprinkle with parmesan shavings
-
Garnish with the freeze-dried zucchini and cauliflower
-
Add a pinch of Cajun seasoning
-
Finish with a drizzle of white balsamic glaze
😋 Serve chilled, and let the magic happen.
💡 Les Savoureux Tip:
This dish is make-ahead friendly, but looks and tastes like something straight out of a fancy restaurant.
