Grandmother-Style Stuffed Turkey

🥘 Ingredients
For the stuffing

1 onion

½ lb mushrooms
-
2 lb ground pork
For the turkey

1 whole turkey
-
2 lb carrots (or rutabaga), cut into sticks

6 onions, cut into large cubes

Salt and pepper
👩🍳 Preparation
1. Make the stuffing

In a food processor, finely chop the onion and mushrooms.

In a large bowl, mix the ground pork with the chopped vegetables and the Grandmother's Blend until well combined.
2. Prepare the turkey

Remove the giblets and place the turkey breast-side up in a roasting pan.

Fill the cavity with the stuffing.

Generously salt and pepper the outside of the turkey.
3. Add the vegetables

In a separate bowl, toss the carrots/rutabaga and onions with the Vegetable Seasoning.

Spread the seasoned vegetables all around the turkey.
4. Cook the turkey

Cover the roasting pan.

Roast for 3–4 hours, basting occasionally.

The turkey is ready when:
✔ the meat shreds easily with a fork
✔ the stuffing reaches 160°F (71°C) internally
