A nice healthy homemade granola recipe, with a little spicy touch. with tons of goodness inside :-) Eating granola has never tasted so good.
3 cups chopped nuts and seeds
2 egg whites
1 to 2 tbsp. tablespoons cocoa-turmeric latte or golden milk mix
2 tbsp. caramel essence
1/4 cup brown sugar of your choice
1 pinch of salt
In a large bowl, whip the egg whites to stiff peaks using an electric mixer or a whisk.
Add the mixture for the cocoa-turmeric latte or for the golden milk , the nuts and seeds, the brown sugar, the caramel essence and the pinch of salt.
Using a spatula, gently mix all the ingredients.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the mixture roughly so that there are clumps of nuts.
Bake at 325 for about 15 minutes, but check every 5 minutes to prevent it from burning.
Let cool completely before handling so that the clumps of nuts solidify together.
You can serve the granola over yogurt. We really like to put golden milk in plain yogurt with a sweetener of your choice. it's a great way to have all the benefits of golden milk without making it into a hot drink.
